Answers before you even have to ask
Everything you might want to know before booking — about services, payment, and what to expect. If your question is not here, contact the practice.
About the care
What services do you provide?
Psychiatric evaluation, ADHD assessment, and ongoing medication management — all by telehealth. The practice does not provide talk therapy; when therapy would help, you get a straight answer and help connecting with a therapist. See Services.
Will I automatically be prescribed medication?
No. An evaluation is an assessment, not a commitment. Medication is recommended only when clinically appropriate, and the decision is always made collaboratively — with honest advice, including when medication isn’t the right tool.
What conditions do you work with?
The practice focuses on ADHD — the main specialty, including ADHD evaluation and medication management — along with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. If your concerns fall outside these areas, reach out — if this practice is not the right fit, you will be pointed in a helpful direction.
What happens during the first consultation?
The free consultation is a 15-minute introductory call. You’ll share what brings you in, ask your questions, and see whether the practice is a good fit — and if it is, the next step is scheduling a full medication evaluation.
How do I know whether this practice is right for me?
The initial consultation is a low-pressure way to find out. You can share what you are looking for, learn how care works, and decide together whether the practice is a good fit for your needs.
Is what I share confidential?
Confidentiality is taken seriously and protected within the limits of the law. The rare, legally required exceptions — such as safety emergencies — are explained clearly before care begins. See the Notice of Privacy Practices.
Appointments & logistics
Do you provide telehealth or in-person appointments?
All appointments are telehealth — secure video visits — for people located in California and Oregon. Details for joining your video appointment arrive with your booking confirmation.
What ages do you see?
The practice serves ages 12 to 65. If you are asking for a family member outside this range, contact the practice and we will point you toward appropriate options.
How do I book — and what if I need to reschedule?
Use the Book a Consultation page to choose a time through the secure scheduling system, or call (323) 806-5510. The cancellation and rescheduling policy is listed on the Insurance & Cash Pay page.
What should I have ready for my first appointment?
Nothing is required beyond yourself. If available, it can help to have: a list of current medications, any previous evaluations or records, and your insurance card if you plan to use insurance.
Payment
Do you accept insurance?
Select insurance plans are accepted for clients located in California: Aetna, Cigna, Curative, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and Independence Blue Cross. Oregon clients are seen on a cash-pay basis. Because coverage varies by plan, please confirm your behavioral-health benefits with your insurer or contact the practice before your first appointment. Coverage is not guaranteed until verified.
Is cash pay available?
Yes. Cash-pay and self-pay options are available if you are uninsured, out of network, or prefer not to use insurance. Current fees are listed on the Insurance & Cash Pay page.
What if my insurance plan isn't listed?
Contact the practice — plans change, and cash-pay/self-pay options are always available. Your insurer can also tell you about any out-of-network behavioral-health benefits your plan may include.
